One of Those Days

You know those days where you look at your calendar and you think: This is going to be a craptastic day.

I am having one of those days. It goes something like this: 9:30-10 meeting with new volunteer; 10-11:30 all staff meeting; 11:30-12:15 interview candidate for prospective Director of Development; 1-3 management meeting; 3-3:45 interview candidate for prospective Director of Development; 3:45-5 actually try to get some work done since I am finally out of meetings.

I think there might be time for me to run out for some lunch and air. That is if no one corners me. And at least there is drinks with Jules after work to look forward to. Five o'clock seems reaaaaalllllly far away.

It's not good to start your day in overwhelm mode. Especially when you are battling the "mean reds" (see yesterday's post). Maybe I will just lift my hands up over my head and scream as I ride the roller coaster of my emotions.

Eek - crazy day! I honestly wish I could trade today because I have no meetings and only a couple of mind-numbing tasks that I have to somehow stretch into 8 hours today. Hope the drinks at 5 are awesome!

I dare not tell you how my day is unfolding.

Hang in there, Sizzle!

You need more than 45 mintues for a break! Maybe you should just take tomorrow off!

I'm totally on the overwhelmed train with you today. I can't wait until I'm just whelmed. :)

Oh, how loud am I hearin' ya? I get to work at 8. After not yet an hour of work, I looked at my clock thinking that it was going to read 10:50 - or something like that. It was only 8:49. How was it possible to cram such a bad day into only 49 minutes? How?

Since I had nowhere to go but up, the rest of the day actually hasn't been that bad.

Go figure.

Doesn't 5:00 always seem to take forever to come?! Ugh. The worst! I hope it doesn't end up as craptastic as you predicted!
