Mom Day

In celebration of my mom, I invited her over for a home cooked brunch, complete with fruit salad and champagne. Nothing says brunch like fruit salad. Don't you agree?

We lazed about chatting over scrumptious muffins and yummy scramble talking over details of the upcoming move and the baby shower she's throwing for my sister and brother in law in June.

We took a walk along West Cliff, enjoying the beautiful (75 degree) day with its perfect ocean breeze. The surfers and sailors and pups were out en masse.

Then it was off to a movie of her choice, a diet soda and some illegal (snuck in) popcorn. Even if the movie was kinda predictable, I still bit my nails out of suspense. I'm a sucker I guess. Or a biter, as the case may be.

I love spending time with my mom. She' s funny and generous and kind. She's easy to be around. Accepting and helpful and silly. And isn't she just the cutest?

I love you Mom. Thanks for the great day.

That sounds like a wonderful Mother's Day. Your mom is so lucky to be spoiled by you like that! Also? The picture of your brunch totally made me hungry so now I'm going to have to go get lunch early, because it looked so amazing. If you made all that I think it's safe to say you look like an incredible cook!

Thank you for the lovely day and the wonderful post. The brunch was
delicious, the company warm and witty, the walk was beautiful and long, and the
movie was fun. Another great mothers day. I am a very lucky mom! I'm still
laughing at "so do you think that's ok?"

I didn't know your mother lives nearby. How does she feel about your move?
