WTF Friday

It's What the Fuck Friday here in Sizzleland. Where we take life's puzzles and laugh at them.

WTFF #1
The Irishman text messages me out of the blue saying something naughty about wanting me in his bed. I text back, "I think you have the wrong number" seriously not knowing who the F it was. I didn't recognize the number at first. His response? He tells me he has missed me and he will email me tomorrow.

Uh, Irishman? It's been like 4 months. If you have been emailing me I haven't received any of them (it's called a block). Remember what I said? Yeah. That is still true.

WTFF #2
On an application I was filling out for work-related purposes, I was given these instructions:

"Enter the content of your listing. Say as much as you need. Please limit yourself to 50 words."

Uh.

Oookkkaayy.

WTFF #3
When a rental listing has pictures of the parking structure in its ad, you know that apartment has got to be really, really bad.

WTFF #4
If you are working at your desk in your cubicle and you have marked yourself out on the board as "voicemail only". . . wouldn't you think that people would get that you are working diligently on something? That you don't want to be interrupted? Or would you instead think that standing in the entranceway of my cube, paper in hand, eager/apologetic look on their face, waiting for me to turn, take off my headphones and answer their burning question is a really good idea?

Well, they do.

WTFF #5
In effort to stop having my cell phone ringer on vibrate (though I do so enjoy a good vibrate), I attempted to download some new ring tones.

I should never be allowed to do this ever again.

After searching through lists and lists of crappy ringtones I finally found Tainted Love by Soft Cell. I thought I followed the directions. I am apparently really challenged in this area as I now have three versions of that ringtone downloaded to my phone. And probably just paid $2 for each.

Step away from the ringtones, Sizzle. Step away.

Regarding WTFF #4... people are stupid. Plain and simple. My boss has seen me on the phone, clearly not about to end the conversation, and will stand there and wait. Yeah, that's just what I want, to have my boss sitting there listening to everything I say on a phone call that's NONE OF HER BUSINESS!!!

No bitterness.

Love. Particularly the Irishman thing, because I've had a rather similar experience. As for the ringtones, my phone is too ghetto to allow me to download any -- but I did (in honor of Kelly Clarkson being my semi-doppelganger) choose to have "Since You've Been Gone" be my personal ring on a friend's phone this week. That made me happy.

I admire you for even trying to download ringtones. I'm scared of even attempting it.

Ah my Ms. Siz, I don't know what I'd do without your take on life. :)

Hey, I like that song! *cheesy grin*
Ok, if you are Cingular (like moi) though I'm sure it works for the other companies, there is a place you can go to on their website and email them and let them know you were charged 3 times for 1 song and would like 2 of the charges removed. They look into it and in a day or two take off the charges. This has happened to me several times and they always remove the erroneous charge. Maybe that will help. The other stuff, well, just shake your head and move along....

WTFF- I can see it spreading like wildfire.

As for #4, I once had a job where I had to make a do not disturb sign to get people to stop interrupting me. My desk had the only phone for the whole office in far less cell-prevalent days. It sucked.

WTFF-Can add a #6? The Tranny who gave way to much info about her operation and post operation care. I will blog this one in a day or two!!

i find that there is very little that Toothpaste For Dinner and/or Tainted Love cannot cure.

I wanted just one Ludacris song, and instead got the instrumental version of "It's hard out here for a pimp" by the Philharmonic Orchestra. Go figure. WTFF.
