Top Picks & Sevens

If you don't give a rat's ass about American Idol, scroll down to my Sevens Meme.

Is it just me or is American Idol taking a loooong time this year? They changed the process and for some reason it feels painfully drawn out. Don't get me wrong, I am still watching the damn show. I'm a part of the AI Cult Phenomenon and goddamnit, I would drink the AI Kool Aid. Ok, not really.

After the first round of performances for a live audience I have picked my top 10. Some of those kids were downright painful to watch. Oh Stevie, Stevie, Stevie- stick to opera honey. And Bobby? Barry Manilow is barely cool when sung at a karaoke bar. That performance might have bought your return ticket home. And don't even get me started on Brenna. Her whole attitude is so obnoxious I want to throw things at the TV.

Here are my predictions for the Top 10 on American Idol:

Katharine McPhee

Paris Bennett
Lisa Tucker
Ayla Brown
Alternate: Melissa McGhee

Taylor Hicks
Ace Young
Chris Daughtry
Elliot Yamin
Jose "Sway" Penala
Alternate: Gedeon McKinney

*Subject to change based on performances.

I think those seven things that attract you to blogging are the seven things that make you one of the best bloggers around.

I'm a huge Idol fan. I haven't learned the names yet, but I've seen several this year that I think have talent.

Good lists. Sorry, I'm not an AI fan, so I can't relate at all on that stuff.

You do realize you have two #4s on your book list, right? Sorry, my anal-retentive nature notices these things.

But I agree with Gary about your blogger attractions and what it says about you.

gary- thanks for the compliment. :)

kevin- thank you for your anal retentive nature as that had escaped my attention. all fixed now. ;)

Sizz - great meme!

As for AI, I think I'm in love with Katharine McPhee. Is it just me or she GORgeous?

I totally hear you about the toilet paper. Your movie list is almost identical to what mine would be except I haven't seen Garden State. -Flourish

That Say Anything quote is my favorite line from any movie, ever.

I think I did this meme but I can't remember when.

Chopsticks - I can't even eat with them. And I always put out someone's eye.

As for AI ... yes, it's way too long. So I only see a part before my movies demand watching and they always win.

I saw that Brenna: "You Are the Sunshine of My Life ... for my Mom." What? Her Mom runs a brothel? Who sings a song like that as if she's just busting to fornicate? There's sexy but there's also knowing when to be sexy. And there's sexy and there's being a sluttish twit.

I know why they stretch it out - it's making gobs of money. But it's way too long now and TV producers have to remember that, thanks to them, I have a very short attention span.

that is so donkey, made me laugh! i might just have to lift that from you...

i pretty much can't do everything on your can't do list except for the biting the nails. are you sure we're not sisters?

what would I do without you?

Is it bad that I can almost quote that movie Beaches word for word?

As for the toilet paper! I do the same...haha

Haven't you already performed on stage? or did you mean in a more professional capacity?

As for roadtripping on your own- I love it. It's so nice having no one to answer to or compromise with when you're on the road. I feel like I'm better able to soak in my surroundings then.

Is Ace really as hot as Paula makes him out to be? He's almost too much for me to handle. I think your top 10 looks pretty solid. I would love to see Brenna get the boot soon so she paddle her ass off stage.

Chopsticks skills still haven't been mastered for me either. Have a good Friday.
