Win Some, Whine Some

This is what I looked at for 4 hours last night. Correction. This is what I was bent over. Wait. That came out entirely wrong. Don't be naughty boys and girls.

Let me explain.

So this winery in Woodinville did a back-to-school supply drive for the foster kids and they also invited us to work the ring toss booth at their company party and collect all of the proceeds. Sweet! At 2 for $1, those party-goers were throwing down the cash in the hopes of landing some primo wine. And we ended up raking in a couple thousand for our organization.

Let's just say, I shouldn't have worn heels. Kitten heels but still, not the most comfortable shoe in my closet. While everyone attending the party was decked out in jeans, us four working the booth were dressed up. Around 6 pm I had to kick off my shoes. I was getting serious toe cramp.

We got a bit of a break where we ate some cold food from the buffet. It was supposed to be hot but we were scrounging. Mmmm soggy salad. My favorite! After eating, bending over to retrieve wine bottles and pick up tossed rings is, well, uncomfortable. I woke up today with sore thighs and back and neck. Sizzle? You need to exercise.

I wish I had taken a picture of this but I was pretty much tied to the booth. There was a kid's play section at the party and they had a blow up caterpillar. Kids would crawl in the mouth and crawl through the body of the bug only to come out the other end. The Butt. The caterpillar pooped kids. What a sight. Hey kid! You're a turd!

There is an upswing to working a 12.5 hr day. I get to flex some hours today or tomorrow AND I got six bottles of wine (get ready to drink Jenny Two Times). Well, and I got to see kids be pooped out a blow up caterpillar butt. Total bonus.

That sounds like a fun party! I totally want to go to a party where there's the opportunity to win wine from a ring toss game. I rule at that game!

Don't you love jobs with flex time? I'm going out of town at the end of September, and since I'll be working and driving odd hours it will only be a four day week, and I get to spend it travelling to two of my favorite areas of the state (the U.P. and one of the Great Lakes). Perks like that are what make up for the non-profit pay.

What a riot! I hope you get to relax a bit and rest those muscles! :)

Oh, and yeah, I need to exercise too. Haven't started that regimen yet. Phooey

I don't remember toys like that when I was a kid. All I remember is Hungry Hungry Hippos. But they didn't poop you. They just ate marbles.

Wine and kids being pooped. What more could you ask for?

Oh snap! That is my kind of ring toss.

Look how much fun you are having! Welcome home, Ms. Sizz, welcome home.

I always thought those ring toss games were rigged. Was it?

The ring toss. Bah, I can never win it. Ah, who am I kidding? I can't even win caterpillar poop.

my uncle used to call his kids his "little shits" and then he would change the expression "the apple's dont fall far from the tree" to "the little shits dont fall far from the asshole"... ironic to your post and that quote (if you can follow my convoluted thought pattern) - his grand-daughter was given a cattapiller this past week - maybe we should send her to seattle
