Crooked Little House

I first noticed that my apartment is lopsided when I made eggs. This is my kitchen. Seems on the straight and narrow, right? Seems small but in true Sizzle style, an economical use of space (just wait until I paint the back walls of the cabinets- it's really going to pop!) Observe when I add a skillet and an egg.

There's a tea kettle and a frying pan. From afar, everything seems a-ok. Then I add an egg and all hell break's loose. See how the egg slides down in the pan? That isn't right. Right? Even with a very hot skillet, the eggs slide down to the front.

Oops! I guess that is what happens when you shack up in a building that has been around for over 60 years.

Another kitchen tidbit: it helps if you REMOVE the instruction pamphlet from inside the tea kettle before making tea. Three times I made tea without looking inside. Do you think I might be poisoned? Way to be on top of things Sizz! I thought that tea tasted funny. . .

hey, do you think Dokey and Double-B removed the instructions from THEIR teapot? You said it tasted the same...

Just a thought... =)

Your stove is the size of a dollhouse stove.

Not my favorite pic, but I am glad to see I am represented on your fridge! Plus now I have a few ideas for housewarming presents... when do we get to see the rest of the place?

I used to think my house was crooked, too since my eggs slid to one side of the pan. Turns out, it was just the stove. :-)

Your place looks very cute! Glad you're enjoying it!

Yay! Sizzle's new home! I've been meaning to write a bit, but I'm in the weeds at the moment and time is limited.

Welcome to your new home, it will be perfectly Sizzle Charming in no time and being lost sucks, but finding yourself is awesome. See if they have something like a Key Map.

You need to do a new Amazon gifty list for house warming goodies!!!

And in case I haven't said it lately, I'm so very proud of you. You've got courage, lady.

I'm impressed you look so moved in already.

That's funny you've been boiling the bag. Don't worry. I think lead poisening takes a few years to reveal itself.

(just kidding! i don't think there's actually lead in ink, if there ever was....I think you're gonna be alright...:)

Good grief. You've been there what - five minutes? - and already your kitchen is more organized than mine. And I've been in my place six years!

(minus the crookedness, but I am sure you can work through that)
