An Elephant Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste

Being the self-absorbed wreck I have been the last few weeks, I absent-mindedly forgot my dear JB's birthday. I was sitting there thinking, "Hey, Supple's birthday is coming up. Wait! Isn't JB's birthday BEFORE Supple's? Oh fuck!" He confirmed that yes, indeed, I had fallen off the friend wagon and forgotten. My memory, so long known for its rapt attention to minutiae (and, yes, ok, selectiveness, but only at times), failed me.

I had to make it up to him. I quickly emailed The Crew and made a plan to rendevous with dear JB. Little did he know that the others would be there when we showed up for sushi. And sushi we ate! We are good at many things but I think, high ranking among them, is eating sushi.

Since JB and Supple were directly across the table from me, it was easiest to snap pictures of them. Supple and I took a jaunt earlier in the day to the local sex-friendly shop and bought our dear JB some trinkets to show our affection. For the record, there is much more to JB than his enjoyment of sex and sex videos and sex talk and sex books and . . .No really! He is a great conversationalist and a downright fun fella. I hope he will wear his badge proudly to the next party he attends. That way, when he gets snockered, he can have an excuse for coping a feel.

JB, I am so sorry I missed your birthday! I know you don't care so much about it but you mean too much to me to ever let it happen again. Hugs & Jugs JB! xoxoxoxox

In unrelated news, the massage was excellent and my shoulder blades are hurting from the intense beating I took. It's actually a welcomed feeling as all that deep tissue work has seriously made a difference. I saw a movie too. Jarhead is a good flick (and yes, Melissa, delicious peeks at glorious backsides). It's definitely worth seeing. Dumpling and I both liked it. Then we bought some grub and cooked up a yummy meal, watched What Not To Wear and Haunting (which made me stay up to watch 3 other shows because I will NEVER learn that ghost stories will freak me out so that I won't be able to sleep nor let Dumpling leave my house until I am sufficiently drop dead tired). I actually slept and now am off to bake some apple bread for my Book Club meeting this morning. I think I will go see the Monarchs and catch a matinee of Shopgirl and then sit around knitting scarves.

And it is only Saturday! This is great!

Lush- you see that fella behind JB and Supple? I think I stunned him a bit when I said something about gigantic balls (or some other inappropriate-for-the-dinner- table kind of talk). I'm just trying to keep up with ya. ;)

Thanks Kris!

Closer than close friends, incredible sushi and good booze tend to cure about half of whatever ails me, good job Ms. Sizz. Truly, it's not a fun dinner out unless you give a few of the other patrons some shock and awe.

I feel like we had the same weekend and it kind of freaks me out! :)

Glad you were surrounded by friends and Jake G.'s bum. That will cure anything!
