One of These Things is Not Like the Other...

Jules is making me a joiner. You see,her blog friend instigated this game and she (Jules), being my trusted co-worker and blog buddy, has in turn, thrust me into the game. The whole idea of this being that I tell you three things and you decide which are false. They won't all be false but it's up to you and your powers of deduction to figure out which is which.

#1. I was a Brownie and then a Girl Scout when I was a kid. I earned a lot of badges but never the Fire Badge. I was afraid to get burned. By the time I was in Girl Scouts, I had already burned myself twice- once on a motorcycle engine and another time on a BBQ. Later, I went on to burn myself a third time on a coffe mug warmer at my Mom's office. I had flipped the switch on and off, on and off, not knowing what the hell the thing did. Out of curiosity, I placed the palm of my hand upon the heated part and quickly discovered it was hot (very fucking hot!). She had to take me to the Emergency Room with a lukewarm soda can clutched in my hand because there wasn't any ice in the office.

#2. My first roommate in college was an old high school friend. She had a brother who was very addicted to pot, so much so that he would sell off any presents his rich father gave him to buy more pot. This explains my roommates incredible disdain for drugs (plus, she was kind of prudish and bookish). In an effort to disguise the pot smoking I was partaking in at the time, I would burn a lot of sage claiming I was cleansing the energy in my room. She actually bought that lie. Thankfully, not only was she anti-drug, prudish and bookish but she was also pretty damn gullible.

#3. A few years ago, I was feeling particularly lonely so I posted a "casual encounters" ad on Craigs List. I got a lot of pictures of dicks (literally and figuratively) but there was one that caught my attention enough to email him back. We exchanged a couple emails and made a date to meet later that night. I didn't tell any of my friends because I was afraid they would talk me out of it. I'd set up dates via the internet before and everyone was always pleading with me to be extra-careful. (Thanks for looking out for me guys.) We met up at a local bar, had a few drinks, chatted and he invited me back to his place. We fooled around all night and I left before it got light out. We emailed a couple of times after that but it just kind of died off like most internet connections often do.

The truth shall be revealed come Monday. In the meantime, cast your votes.
