65 Cent Nite

I love the Boardwalk with its beachside roller coasters, corndogs and garlic fries, screaming kids and outrageously priced games. When I was little, my parents would take my sis and I all the time. We'd spend the day on the beach frolicking in the ocean, making our way to the concession stand for a chocolate dipped soft serve cone when the sun got too hot and later, spending the evening amongst the ringing bells, peals of laughter and screams of delight.

Much of the thrill and delight still linger, as was proven last night when Supple, Meagan, Dokey, my Mom and I all enjoyed an evening out. We rode our favorite rides. This one I like to call the Peter Pan ride (cuz I can never remember the name and you can fly on it) was so incredibly cool. You had to lie down with your chin on a this padded bar while your tits (ok, my big tits) were squished on this hard rod (yes, I purposely said rod for those of you with dirty minds). Other than the uncomfortableness, it was awesome. Doke and Meagan both enjoyed it. I liked to close my eyes and say, "Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far, far away." (Think: movie quote.)

We got sopping wet on the Loggers Run. We really should have taken photo booth pics before the water ride. Some lessons are learned the hard way. We rode the Giant Dipper twice because, well, it's just that fantastic. It's one of the oldest roller coasters in America, maybe even in the world. (Don't quote me on that. I am not 100% sure of my facts.) It's rickety but the dips are big and half the time you feel as though you are levitating. Then we rode the Merry-Go-Round. We always do, in memory of our Grandma. She loved the carousel. Supple and Jason horsed around. (Har har) While I snapped this shot of myself and oddly enough it is hard to tell if I am pole dancing or riding a harmless kiddie ride. Hmmm.

We had a blast though. You shoulda been there.

pole dance or kiddie ride...

Now that's something to think about!

Glad to "hear" you smiling again...

It was so much fun and it was good to see you smiling and having fun. Your childhood giggles came back! Seeing you and Dokey together again did my heart good. And I could feel Grandma's presence on the merry-go-round. She was saying "Shaunessy sit down your going to get hurt, thank goodness Dokey strapped herself on the horse!"
Thank you for such a good time. m
