Homeward Bound

I had the pure pleasure of sitting next to an adorable 3.5 year old on the flight home. She had big blue saucer eyes and a smattering of freckles on her cute little nose. I'll take a kid in the middle seat over a burly oversized fella any day.

We talked about Grandmas and sisters, debated which was a better snack bar: Clif or Luna, and listened to each others headphones. (My music was better thanks to the cd my sister made me.) She ate her snack sized pretzels, her Dad's and mine then asked the stewardess for more. She informed me that there are TWO Julys. Who knew? Oh and I am invited to her birthday party. I don't know what I will wear!

Her older sister and Mom were sitting a few rows ahead and after we landed and waited to de-board she stood on her seat and declared to her sister (and all within ear shot, re: the whole plane) that she had a friend (me). Could she BE any cuter?

I really hope I get to be a mom someday. I already carry snacks and toys around in my bag just in case.

Vacation is over. Time to unpack.

that's sweet to hear how wonderful you were to the little girl on the plane. believe it or not a lot of people who don't have kids would not have acted so kind to her.

you'll be a wonderful mom!

My best seat companion was at the other end of things, about a 50 year old Christian woman from Lubbock, Texas. She had to be the nicest person I've encounter in the world of flights, or just about anything else.

People, young and old, can be the nicest people sometimes. Who'd have imagined?

Some people hate sitting next to kids on planes. Personally, I'd take a kid over most people any day. They are quite amusing, to say the least.

Welcome back! It's looks like you had some much needed fun!

Welcome home! I'm glad you had a great weekend!

If you are ever my seat buddy, would you please bring along some junior mints as a snack? Thanks!

you are a lucky woman. I've had terrible experiences sitting next to screaming toddlers and your new 'friend' sounds like an abosolute gem. glad you had a good time.

Kids are great, especially when they're as sweet as this little dolly you had the good fortune to sit next to. You'll get to be a mom, and a good one too :)
